(This program provides a transformative academic experience for mature students to expand knowledge and generate novel insights by investigating complex issues with cutting-edge methodologies. Few of the focus areas of this program are Beam management in 5G/6G networks, Channel estimation in IRS systems,  Physical-layer Security, Fundamentals of RADAR, Applications of AI/ML in RADAR sensing , AI and Big Data, Algorithms, Cryptography, Formal verification of machine learning algorithms and applications).

• What is the recruitment process and timeline?
  • August for dual offers (Internship plus full time) or only full time
  • September/ October for only 6 months’ internships
  • November / December for summer internships
  • January for 11 months’ internships 

• What options do students their final semester?
  Internship / Thesis / Exchange Programme / Start up with the IIIT-B Innovation Center / Research Projects with Faculty members. (It is mandatory to complete at least 4 months for undergrad and 5.5 months for post - grads of the above as on June 15th each year in order for the students to graduate.)

• What is the placement policy? 
  We follow a One job per student policy (INR 6 LPA for undergrads and INR 8LPA for post grads). Please refer to the guidelines for details information. 

• What is the CGPA cutoff for graduation?
  CGPA is out of 4 and the passing cut off is 2.4.

• How do students get a specialization?
  Students need to complete 5 courses in the respective area to get a specialization in that domain (Students need to refer to their programme manual for detailed information).

• What are the expectations from companies providing internship?
  The institute will collect midterm feedback around March to understand the progress of the students and help them improve where needed. It is also needed for grading them. At the end of the internship / thesis / exchange programme / start up - students have to submit a report and completion certificate, latest by June 20th each year. This is an important milestone in order for the students to be graded and graduate.
