IIIT-Bangalore – De Gruyter Brill Book Series
About the Series
The IIIT-Bangalore–De Gruyter Brill Book Series is a joint scholarly publishing initiative between the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B) and De Gruyter Brill, one of the world's foremost academic publishers.
The series publishes authoritative works at the intersection of computer science, engineering, and the digital transformation of society. It spans focused disciplines including artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science, electronics and communication engineering, applied sciences, digital public infrastructure (DPI) and digital humanities and societal systems — reflecting IIIT-B's commitment to research that bridges technological innovation with real-world impact.
Scope & Format
The series welcomes research monographs, textbooks, and edited volumes presenting original, previously unpublished work. Each title offers an in-depth treatment of a specific research area, covering both foundational theory and advanced application. Volumes are expected to be substantial contributions to their field — typically 75,000 words or more (approximately 250 printed pages), inclusive of figures, tables, and illustrations. Conference proceedings may be considered subject to mutual agreement between IIIT-B and De Gruyter Brill.
While the series is editorially anchored in IIIT-B's research vision, submissions are welcome from researchers and scholars worldwide working within its scope.
All submissions undergo rigorous peer review. The series is intended for researchers, graduate students, and practitioners across science, engineering, and interdisciplinary domains.
