On May 26, 2025, Professor Debabrata Das, Director of the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B), was invited to Rashtrapati Bhavan for an audience with the Honorable President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu.
During the meeting, Prof. Das briefed the President on IIIT-Bangalore’s cutting-edge research and development initiatives across a range of domains, including Information Technology, Digital Public Infrastructure, E-Health, Artificial Intelligence, Communication Technologies, and Software Engineering etc. The discussion also explored how these technological advancements are translating into tangible benefits for citizens, making India Aatmanirbhar, enhancing public services, and contributing to the upliftment of mankind worldwide.
The meeting emphasized the growing importance of academic and research institutions like IIIT-Bangalore in shaping India's digital future.
