- About Us
Our students Harshit Khattar (B.Tech. CSE, 2nd year), Aarush Gupta (B.Tech. DSAI, 2nd year), Utkarsh Gupta (B.Tech. DSAI, 2nd year), and Adarsh Singh (Integrated M.Tech. CSE, 2nd year) participated in the Ideas for India Innovation Challenge and won the Inclusive Innovation for Bharat track.
The team received the prize in New Delhi on October 22, 2026, from Shri C. R. Patil, Hon’ble Union Minister of Jal Shakti.
They developed Nyaya Setu, an AI assistant that helps courts identify pending cases that could be settled early through mediation or Lok Adalat and explains the reasons behind each suggestion. A rule engine checks the law first, ensuring that the model can never override it, while the committee makes the final decision.
The team developed this solution because 4.99 crore cases are pending in district courts. Their goal was to evaluate each case based on its individual facts rather than sending entire categories of cases to a single forum.
