Emergence of online mode of learning (MOOC, blended learning) promises unprecedented democratisation and scale-up of education through technology. Today’s teachers and learners have access to virtually unending amount of learning material from the best of the best sources.
Education mostly gets its edge and credibility when complimented by valid, reliable, deep and fair assessment. In this project, we are in the process of building cutting edge technology to automate assessment (generation, conduction and evaluation). Automated software engineering, and more recently in machine learning, along with sound knowledge of pedagogical theory are the three main building blocks of this technology.
