An MoU was signed on September 28, 2018 between IIITB, TouchéTech Labs and Vision Empower for a research project on developing a Refreshable Braille Reader(project details). Prof. Sujit is the principle investor for this project. The project aims to make educational content available to visually challenged school students in digital form. IIIT Bangalore will collaborate on the R&D efforts on the software required for operation of the device and will provide the mentorship expertise and student interns to execute the project.
