Copy number Variation Detection Algorithm and Mathematical Modeling of the Biological Process

Copy Number Variations (CNV) are the regions of the DNA which occur in more than two copies. These CNVs are of interest in the medical field because they can be characteristic of particular kind of disease or an abnormality. Identification of such regions using short read data obtained from the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB). The aim is to later generalize by creating a mathematical model for a biological process so that it can be generalized to other chromosomal aberrations or abnormalities.
